Iceland Heli-Ski & Ski Touring with HJG
The Troll Peninsula (Tröllaskagi) in northern Iceland is where dramatic alpine terrain drops directly into the Arctic Ocean. Forget crowded resorts and pre-packaged tourist traps. We are gathering an squad of strictly 4 skiers to secure helicopter capacity and private lodge accommodation for Spring 2027. You don’t need to be a seasoned pro or the fastest skinner on the mountain—what matters is an honest attitude and a solid respect for the ride.
Two dates available: March 7–11, 2027, for deep winter snow and Northern Lights, or May 12–16, 2027, for stable spring corn and endless daylight hours. Your guide for the trip will be founder of Hand Job Gloves, Ville Strandman—a ski guide and snow safety instructor with over 40 years on skis.
TWO OPTIONS FOR SPRING 2027
Option 1: Heli-Assisted Ski Touring (~4,190 € / person)
A blend of heli-skiing and ski touring. We start our mornings with a helicopter drop (Eurocopter H125) to the summit. After 1–2 drops, we continue on skins to the surrounding peaks. Depending on weather conditions and the group’s wishes, 1–2 days can be dedicated purely to human-powered ski touring. Includes 60 min of helicopter flight time for the group, guiding, accommodation at Karlsá Lodge, gourmet meals, and transfers from Akureyri.
Option 2: Pure Heli-Skiing (9,950 € / person)
If you want to focus purely on heliskiing and utilize the helicopter throughout the day to reach new peaks, this option is for you. More flight time, more vertical. Includes expanded helicopter flight time, guiding, accommodation at Klængshóll Lodge, gourmet meals, and transfers from Akureyri.
