Our friends who guide heliski days load wet skis into the helicopter basket, then pull them out again, over and over. Ten guests. Ten runs. That’s up to about 200 times in a single day. Do that for a hundred days and you’re looking at roughly 20,000 times the leather meets wet skis, cold metal, and hard wear. A normal glove doesn’t last.
